ONE NIGHT SHOW
Palazzo Bembo, Venice
Sunday June 2, 2013

In occasion of the 55th Venice Biennale, Renato D’Agostin exhibits for one night only his new works in the courtyard of Palazzo Bembo, Venice.

Following the success of D’Agostin’s solo exhibition THE BEAUTIFUL CLICHÉ – VENEZIA at Palazzo Franchetti and the book presentation at Palazzo Ducale last October in Venice, D’Agostin is now working on three new projects: ETNA, SHANGHAI and ACROBATS. During the event will also be presented BLIND SPOT, a video realized by Michele Baggio. A document immerged into the red of the darkroom, in its slow and harmonic rhythm of the creative process. The impatience of the pixel leaves room to rays of light modeling new images.

On this occasion, Renato D’Agostin and Tankboys join together to celebrate the event with the poster One Night Show – 50 x 70 cm. – 19.6 x 27.5 in. Edition of 1.000

Jazz quartet: Enrico Pagnin sax, Loris Tagliapietra double-bass, Stefano Ottogalli guitar, Luca Bortoluzzi drums

Poetry and photography … in motion. This is the concept underlying the ‘poetry on the bus’ initiative that carried verses and images by Italian poets and photographers around Washington by bus and then brought them together in an exhibition at the prestigious Phillips Collection, a jewel in the crown of the capital city’s meeting spaces for culture, art, and photography.

Gabriele Basilico, Gianni Berengo Gardin, Mario Cresci, Renato D’Agostin, Andrea Galvani, Luigi Ghirri, Mimmo Jodice, Nino Migliori, Francesco Nonino, Bianca Sforni, Franco Vaccari, and Paolo Ventura: the best of Italian photography in 12 frames by both established and up and coming artists. From landscapes in black and white that evoke the past, to movements frozen in action, to surrealist figures, the exhibit takes travelers on a journey through various stages in Italian photography that carries Italian creativity and culture to the New World
