ΑΙΩΝ
Liturgia sul modo frigio per voci, strumenti tradizionali giapponesi e suoni di sintesi

The text is played on three fragments by Eraclitus, on Akkadian and Hittite words, and on obsure terms structured on hendecasyllables sonnet.

ΑΙΩΝ means “Perpetuity / Eternity”
Three Fragments by Eraclitus

Αἰὼν παῖς ἐστι παίζων πεσσεύων· παιδὸς ἡ βασιληίη
Eternity is a child playing draughts, the kingly power is a child’s

Ξυνὸν γὰρ ἀρχὴ καὶ πέρας ἐπὶ κύκλου περιφερεία
In the circumference of a circle the beginning and the end are common

Ὅσπερ σάρμα εἰκῆ κεχυμένων ὁ κάλλιστος κόσμος
The most beautiful order is a dust heap piled up at random

The music composition is intended as archaic, ancestral liturgy. It presents a stratified structure based on rythm-timbre-melody and formed by four parts that proceed independently:

1-Voices
2,3-Traditional japanese instruments Mokushō, a percussion idiophone from the temple Hokekyo-ji in Shimōsa-Nakayama and Tounkarie, a shell aerophone from the temple Houshin-ji inTokyo
4-Soundtrack with synth sounds and samples formed by 15 parts differing in timbre, rythm and melody. Samples of several traditional japanese, turkish, persian and indian intruments have been used: Taiko, Shakuhachi, Zither, Santoor, Shehani
